Nedra & Miguel // Brooklyn Wedding in DUMBO

Meet Nedra and Miguel.

Nedra and Miguel met on the dance floor in Spain, when Nedra was visiting from NYC during a summer abroad. During many years of long distance, they grew together as a couple and separately as independent individuals. And all the while, their love grew even stronger. Now, they live happily in Spain with friends and loved ones across the world. On this very special wedding day, cultures united in Brooklyn's DUMBO neighborhood to celebrate their love that survived many obstacles.

After an intimate Prospect Park wedding ceremony with family and close friends, we spent time walking around the Brooklyn Bridge Park and eventually ended up at the DUMBO Loft for the reception! It was a perfect combination of settings, catering to both a natural and industrial feel.

We even found a friend to take some extra special photos with! :)

Nedra and Miguel are the perfect example of two people who are meant to be together. Spending time with them, their love for one another is effortless and laughter is abundant. They excitedly chatter together, switching from Spanish to English and back, constantly in sync. When Nedra and Miguel look at one another, their eyes light up and that felt so special to witness. The ease they had with one another made taking all of these photos so enjoyable for me!

One of the most amazing parts of this wedding day was the acceptance and love between their two families. Although they didn't all speak the same language, it was clear that together their families shared a strong committed bond - and an appreciation for a good time. It was no surprise that an excited, rowdy group of Brooklynites and Spaniards knew how to tear up the dance floor!
