Matt & Juliana // Wedding
/Matt and Juliana got married at the North Cascades Basecamp in Mazama, Washington, surrounded by friends and family. This amazing couple is so warm and full of light, they truly attract others everywhere they go. Although they are currently based in New York City, their PNW wedding was a welcome respite from the concrete jungle.
While the boys got ready in their cabin full of brews and whiskey, the ladies spent time getting dolled up and sharing memories. This entire group was beautiful, inside and out!
After snapping some shots, I whisked the bride away for some Bridal Portraits and the oh-so-important First Look with her groom. She looked breathtaking in a Grace Loves Lace gown.
Matt's reaction to Juliana: "You look like a princess! You look like everything this was ever supposed to....
I love you. You're beautiful."
Matt and Juliana had many unique touches during their wedding. They opted for a short but sweet ceremony by the river, their groomsmen walked together two by two, then bridesmaids followed two by two. They didn't include a ring bearer or flower girl. One thing was very classic however, Matt's reaction when he saw Jules was a classic heartwrencher!
The love between Matt and Juliana is so pure, so honest, and so unconditional. And they readily extend that love to family and friends, who would do anything for them.
Now, it was time to party!
Typically in July, the Eastern Washington region is hot and dry. However, on Matt and Juliana's wedding day, the forecast was rain. Everyone was stressed and worried that weather would ruin their big day. But we got lucky! The ceremony had sunshine and the reception had a mixture of both, lead to dancing in the rain and staying dry under the tent. There was even a rainbow at the end, a serendipitous moment for the start of this wonderful couple's marriage!
Congrats, Matt and Jules!
